Hello, and welcome to Dirigo High School We are located in Dixfield, Maine, a small community located in the Western Maine foothills, forty miles northwest of Lewiston/Auburn, eighty miles northwest of Portland, and 30 miles east of Bethel. We are a small high school of 337 students and 43 staff, and a member of the Mountain Valley Conference. Dirigo High School is part of Maine School Administrative District #21, serving the towns of Dixfield, Canton, Carthage, and Peru. In the classroom, we strive to offer a diverse and rigorous curriculum that challenges all of our students. Dirigo High School also offers an array of co-curricular activities in the form of clubs and athletics that provide for another diverse set of learning experiences. We have tremendous school spirit here at Dirigo High School, and our staff and students are always ready to showcase their “Cougar Pride”! As principal, I will strive to continue the good work that has been done here at Dirigo High School over the years. I welcome the input and assistance of all the stakeholders at Dirigo High School, including staff, students, parents, and citizens, to maintain and advance the excellent reputation of Dirigo High School. You are welcome to contact me here at Dirigo, and also to stop by for a visit. Michael Poulin, Principal Dirigo High School |
